Aaaaaand we're back!

The sun's out up here and it feels, well, kinda springy. Hurrah!

Also letting out a resounding cheer are the folks at Helsinki Airport, which opened its newest extension last week. With airlines such as Air Serbia announcing they are touching down here up north, the airport's goal of serving 30 million passengers annually is fast turning into a reality.

Flying high, indeed!

Check out our Five for Friday tomorrow, 15 February, for the lowdown on other international airlines coming this way.

Apart from travel and tourism, partnering up has been the theme of the past week. Cloud gaming pioneer Hatch has snuggled up to Japanese mobile operator NTT DOCOMO, Showcase Scotland has chosen Finland as its partner nation, Exquance Software and Dutch company KATE Innovations have established a join venture, and BCaster and US-based ESPAT Media are doing great things together in video.

Speaking of which, local video advertising company Thirdpresence has bought Flowplayer. And, in other acquisition news, American company Solera has snapped up Finnish property claims solution provider in4mo.

Phew!

Quick question: what do honest people, tap water and rye bread have in common? Marina from Russia knows the answer, in our weekly series.

Just enough time to remind you to pay a visit to our website and follow us on social media via the icons at the bottom of this page.

The weekend is almost here! Enjoy!!
